Experts-in-Residence Program

The David C. Frederick Honors College launched its Experts-in-Residence Program at the beginning of the fall 2023 term as a way of connecting students to interdisciplinary experts—Morgan Overton (artist in residence), Sherry Zalika Sykes (diplomat in residence) and Damon Young (writer in residence)—who will offer specialized workshops and events for the University of Pittsburgh and wider Pittsburgh communities throughout the academic year.

Morgan Overton

As the artist in residence, Morgan Overton will host a monthly discussion and art workshop focused on the theme of democracy.

Sherry Zalika Sykes joins the FHC as Pitt's first ever diplomat in residence, a position appointed by the U.S. Department of State.
