Opportunities

The University Honors College (UHC) realizes there is more to learning than what happens within the four walls of a university classroom. Sometimes the world can provide you with the most amazing learning experiences, and UHC wants to ensure that you take advantage of all of these opportunities. Thus, UHC encourages undergraduates to avail themselves of the unique resources available.

For UHC students, the world can be your classroom. Through unique opportunities, such as the Mongolia field studies program, students can experience cultures and universities halfway across the globe. Closer to home, the Yellowstone field studies program enables students to go play with bears over the summer, and the Brackenridge summer research fellowships help students to engage in research throughout the summer. During the fall and spring, students can work with faculty members to complete research or teaching fellowships.

These are just a few of the opportunities available through the honors college. Students can develop their own ideas through consultation with UHC staff. UHC staff members encourage you to contact them to explore ideas that you may not know exist or create your own opportunities.
