Lauren DelSignore Receptionist
Lauren joined the University Honors College in September 2014, as the receptionist. As the receptionist, Lauren has first contact with students, families, and tourists along with a variety of administrative support tasks.
Lauren comes from Herbert, Pennsylvania, a small village, nestled in Fayette County, Pennsylvania. Lauren comes from a Pitt-loving family, who fostered her love for the University. Lauren recently completed her undergraduate degree in Social Work at Pitt. While completing her undergraduate degree, Lauren worked on various research projects and worked a variety of jobs. Most notably, Lauren worked as a student fundraiser at Pitt and as a health care navigator. As a student fundraiser, Lauren worked on securing donations for Pitt from various alumni and friends to the University. It was here where Lauren first realized she enjoyed working in higher education. As a health care navigator, Lauren connected underserved community members with healthcare programs that they qualified for. While working both jobs, Lauren soon realized that she was able to use her social work skills in higher education. After graduation, Lauren worked in the Payment Processing department of the University. This experience allowed her to see a different side of the University. Lauren is currently attending Pitt’s School of Education to receive her Master’s in Higher Education Management.
Lauren enjoys Pitt football, literature, and her various pets, which include, a German Shepherd, two cats, and two rats. When Lauren is not getting walked by her German Shepherd, she can be seen organizing her comic books and updating her list of them. Lauren’s favorite books to read and collect are: Iron Man, Thor, and Ghost Rider.
