Matt Schultz Receptionist
As the Honors College receptionist on the 36th floor of the Cathedral, Matt Schultz fields questions asked by visitors as well as phone calls and e-mails sent to the Honors College.
As a native western Pennsylvanian, Matt made an easy transition from Ebensburg, PA to Pittsburgh. He began attending the University of Pittsburgh in the Fall 2006 semester and graduated after the Spring 2010 semester. Matt considers himself a bit of a renaissance man, graduating with a BA in three majors (history, political science and communication) from the School of Arts and Sciences. He also has held many different positions: as a groundskeeper, cook, painter, babysitter, library page, and a valet. So if you’re ever in need of a babysitter who can cook, mow your lawn, paint your living room, organize your library, and park your car, you’re in luck.
Matt spends his spare time reading, writing, learning, playing sports, and talking with friends. Some of his favorite authors include Albert Camus, Philip K. Dick, George Orwell, and Fyodor Dostoyevsky. He is a big Pittsburgh sports fan, and he actively follows the Steelers, Penguins, Pirates, and the Pitt Panthers. Matt enjoys studying history and plans to further his education in that field in the near future.
