2013 Spring Term Course Substitutions

Given the interdisciplinary nature of many honors college courses, there are a few that I will approve to fulfill requirements in the P&P major, even though they are not offered through the PS, PHIL/HPS, or ECON departments. Listed here are the substitutions you can make for the 2013 Spring Term (2134):

ANTH 1737/WOMNST 1140 – Special Topics in Cultural Anthropology (Politics of Gender and Food)
Can be used to fulfill a course in the "political science" OR "philosophy" component
(NOTE: This is also a w-course)

ECON 1700 – Prosem Methodology of Economics (The Economics of Race)
Can be used to fulfill a course in the "political science" OR "philosophy" component
(NOTE: This is also a w-course)

GEOL 1056 – Environmental Ethics, Science, and Public Policy
Can be used to fulfill a course in the "political science" OR "philosophy" component

HIST 1685 – US Popular Culture
Can be used to fulfill a course in the "political science" component
(NOTE: This is also a w-course)

If there's a course not listed here (it doesn't have to be offered through the honors college, either) that you wish to have considered as a substitution within the P&P major, please contact David Hornyak (remember, the P&P major is thematic by nature).
