Are you intellectually curious? Have you excelled academically here at Pitt? Do you want to pursue independent research, engage meaningfully with a community partner, or experience an internship abroad? Funding opportunities through the University Honors College may be able to help make your aspirations a reality. Opportunities for motivated and high achieving undergraduate students are available during the academic year and summer, including partial tuition scholarship funding, book and resource funds, research support, and travel funds.
Step One is to thoroughly review the available fund descriptions and identify which apply to your specific situation. Although most of the funding opportunities share a common application, note that a few have separate forms.
Step Two is to complete the UHC Application for Funding in its entirety and submit the packet of required materials to the University Honors College. Applications for funding are accepted twice a year, in the fall and spring terms. Students must have at least one term left of full-time study at Pitt to apply; students are not eligible to apply to apply in the same term they are graduating.
Funding is available through the University Honors College thanks to the support of generous alumni and community donors. Without their continued support, the UHC would not be able to offer these wonderful opportunities for Pitt students to make their aspirations a reality.
* The common application form is not used for these programs. Details of alternative application processes are available on each fund's website.
