U.S. citizenship required.
- Foreign Affairs Information Technology Fellowship Program

Foreign Affairs Information Technology Fellowship Program provides five Fellows (three graduates and two undergraduates) with support to pursue an IT-related degree and launch technology careers in the U.S. Department of State's Foreign Service. Women, members of minority groups historically underrepresented in the Foreign Service, and students with financial need are encouraged to apply.

- Gilman International Scholarship

The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship offers funding for study abroad for students receiving a Federal Pell Grant. Priority is given to students applying to study in regions outside of Western Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Deadlines vary.
- Hollings (Ernest F.) Undergraduate Scholarship

The Ernest F. Hollings Undergraduate Scholarship provides academic assistance (up to $9,500 per year) for two years of full-time study during the academic year and a 10-week, full-time internship position ($700/week) during the summer at a NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) facility. Students can be majoring in a wide range of fields. Applicants must be sophomores or in the third year of a five-year program. U.S. citizenship is required.

Humanity in Action is for sophomores, juniors, seniors, and recent graduates in all fields of study interested an intensive five weeks in Europe or the United States in a program focused on human rights and minority issues. U.S. citizenship is not required.
- National Institutes of Health (NIH) Undergraduate Scholarship Program (UGSP)

The NIH Undergraduate Scholarship Program offers scholarships and paid research training to students from disadvantaged backgrounds who are committed to careers in biomedical, behavioral, and social science health-related research. The NIH UGSP will pay up to $20,000 per academic year in tuition, educational expenses, and reasonable living expenses to scholarship recipients. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.
- Science, Mathematics, and Research for Transformation (SMART) Defense Education Program

The SMART Defense Education Program covers full tuition and living expenses for academically excellent students pursuing degrees in disciplines of particular interest to the Department of Defense, with subsequent job placement in civilian laboratories upon graduation. There is also a SMART Fellowship for graduate study.

This fully funded intensive Arabic language scholarship program is held at the Sultan Qaboos College for Teaching Arabic Language to Non-native Speakers in Manah, Oman. Applicants must have completed four semesters of university-level Arabic coursework before embarking on the program. U.S. citizenship is required.

The Obama-Chesky Scholarship for Public Service (Voyager Scholarship) was created by the Obamas and Brian Chesky, Airbnb CEO, to help the next generation of leaders in public service. This scholarship gives college juniors and seniors up to $25,000 in financial aid to alleviate the burden of college debt, meaningful travel experiences to expand their horizons, and a network of mentors and leaders to support them.
- WAVE Fellows

The WAVE Fellows program supports undergraduates intent on pursuing a PhD to conduct a summer research project at the California Institute of Technology. The program is extended, but not limited, to underrepresented minorities, women, first-generation college students, geographically underrepresented students, educationally and financially disadvantaged students, and students with disabilities. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.
