The Honors distinction is planned to launch in 2020.
The Honors distinction is a less-intensive, but still rigorous program to add a distinction to your degree. It requires you to challenge yourself both in and outside the classroom.
Honors distinction requirements:
- Curricular: 9 academic credits of UHC approved courses; credits within approved school-based honors programs can be applied with course attribute
- Co-curricular: 3 experiential credits (can include research, independent study, approved study abroad via Panther Programs’ approved internship for credit; Approved Coop program)
- Outside of the classroom: Completion of the Pitt Honors OCC (non-credit). The Honors OCC will launch in 2020
- Minimum GPA: 3.0
Students interested in completing the Honors Distinction will declare their intention to pursue the Honors Distinction by completing an online application form that will be reviewed and approved by the Assistant Dean of the Honors College.
